Burglary resistance classes (RC – Resistance Class) define how
effectively a door protects against a forced entry attempt by an
intruder. It is a standardized system used throughout Europe that
allows assessing what kind of tools a burglar might use and how
long the construction can withstand them. The higher the class,
the higher the level of security and longer protection time.
RC2 – protect the room for at least 3 minutes
against an occasionalburglar equipped
only with a screwdriver, hammer, pliers or pincers.
RC3 – protect the room for at least 5
minutes, but against an experienced
burglar who is equipped with a steel crowbar,
screwdrivers, a hammer, a mechanical drill
and wedges.
RC4 – protect for at least 10 minutes against a burglar
who is additionally equipped (besides RC3 tools) with a
heavy hammer, saw, chisel, punch and an axe.
The acoustic insulation level determines how
effectively the door muffles sounds coming from
the outside. It is a standardized parameter used
throughout Europe that allows assessing how much
the construction limits noise penetration – both
conversations, traffic noise
low: 27-32 dB (niska: 27-32 dB)
good: 33-37 dB (dobra: 33-37 dB)
high: 38-42 dB (wysoka: 38-42 dB)
very high: 43-48 dB (b. wysoka: 43-48 dB)
(each 3 dB means approximately 100% better insulation)
The Ud parameter determines how well the door keeps
heat insidethe building. It is a European standard that
shows how much energyescapes through the construction
– the lower the coefficient, the better
the thermal insulation properties of the door.
Ud above 1.3 does not meet the latest regulations.
1.3 - 1.1 – good insulation in accordance with the
"Clean Air" program
1.0 - 0.8 very good insulation
0.7 and below - so-called passive doors
Thermal insulation requirements for a specific building
are subject to the regulations from the date of the building
permit application, which means that acquired
rights are not lost.
These doors meet the requirements
of the "Clean Air"
and "Warm Apartment" programs.
